Wow! What a beautiful feast day. Can you imagine Mary(in Jewish tradition she was only 14 or 15 years old) visited by the angel Gabriel and told of God’s plan for salvation? What an amazing thing-and her response- her fiat… The liturgy was so beautiful this morning. We sang the Gloria and the Sanctus. What a special day to meditate on God’s goodness to us- He sent us His son to dwell among us! Every day we pray the Angelus(at 6am, noon, & 6pm) and we have the opportunity to reflect on this beautiful truth of our faith. Let our Blessed Mother’s fiat also be our own…
Let it be done to me according to thy word.

Well, it’s the beginning of the third week in Lent, how is everyone doing with those resolutions and/or penances? You don’t have to respond if you don’t want…
But, I have a confession to make; I have done completely lousy.Â
Are you suprised to see me say that? I know, I am too. But, now it’s time to re-focus and make the most of the rest of this beautiful season in our Church. Maybe this time I’ve learned the lesson He has been trying to teach me for SO long… To rely only on Him.
So, here we go ready to embark on the rest of our journey. Please pray for me, as I will pray for you!
God bless and keep you.

Adoration
Â
Today is the First Friday in the month of March. First Friday is a special day set aside for devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is also a special day to offer reparation to Jesus for all the sacriliges and abandonment that He suffers throughout the entire world. First Fridays are dedicated as our Day of Recollection(Day of Retreat) in which we keep communal silence and have more time for personal prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, reading, taking walks, etc. It is a special day to rest in the Lord.
The Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
1. “I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.”Â
2. “I will establish peace in their homes.”Â
3. “I will comfort them in their afflictions.”Â
4. “I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all in death.”
5. “I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings.”
6. “Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.”Â
7. “Tepid souls shall grow fervent.”Â
8. “Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.”Â
9. “I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.”Â
10. “I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.”Â
11. “Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.”Â
12. “I promise thee in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months, the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving the Sacraments; My Divine heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.”Â
May the Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament
be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection at every moment
in all the tabernacles of the world, even until the end of time Amen.

Working hard?
So, for the past several weeks I’ve been helping Sr. Agnes Joseph re-organize the library. What a job! Good progress has been made so far; we are now comparing the cards from the shelf file to the actual inventory. It’s still a work in progress.

Those are the cards from the card catalog going into the books.
